이 교재는 한국어 교사를 위한 수업 활용서다. 이 교재에 선정된 속담과 관용어는 토픽 1회에서 41회까지 5회 이상 나온 것, 국제통용한국어표준교육과정(2단계)애서 제시한 것, 한국어교육 어휘 내용 개발 보고서(2013), 외국인을 위한 한국어 학습 사전 등에서 공통적으로 나온 것이다. 속담 7개와 관용어 21개를 10장으로 나누어 설명하였다. 각 장은 국제통용한국어표준교육모형에서 문화를 문화 지식, 문화 실행, 문화 관점 등으로 나눈 것을 참고하여 문화 지식, 문화 체험, 문화 관점으로 나누어 각 수업에 활용할 수 있도록 구성하였다.

The proverbs and idioms selected for this textbook are those that appeared more than 5 times from Topic 1 to 41, those presented in the International Standard Korean Language Curriculum (Step 2), Korean Language Education Vocabulary Content Development Report (2013), for foreigners It is common in Korean learning dictionaries. 7 proverbs and 21 idioms were divided into 10 chapters and explained.
