《경희한국어 초급 1 문법》은 한국어를 배우려는 성인 학습자를 위한 한국어 교재 6단계 중 첫 번째 단계에 해당하는 교재로, 초급 1 단계에서 반드시 알아야 할 문법으로 학습 내용을 구성하였으며 학습자의 의사소통 능력 향상을 위하여 교육적이고 실제적인 다양한 연습과 활동을 배치하였다.

또한 도입의 사용 상황이 정리 단계에서 확인될 수 있도록 도입과 정리 단계의 의사소통 활동을 연계하여 구성하였다. 이 책을 통해 학습자는 한국어 학습에 필요한 기본적인 한국어 문법을 익히고, 한국에서 생활하는 데 필요한 기본 의사소통 능력을 갖출 수 있다.

이 책의 특징

* 초급의 의사소통 상황에 맞는 50개의 문법을 선정하여 학습 내용을 구성하였다.

* 도입은 각 문법의 사용 상황과 관계있는 대화와 그림으로 제시하였으며 MP3 파일을 통해 대화를 들을 수 있게 구성하였다.

* 제시는 교사의 발화를 통해 진행될 수 있도록 별도의 항목으로 구성하지 않았다. 그러나 학습자가 스스로 공부할 수 있도록 목표 문법의 의미와 사용 예를 부록에 제시하였다.

* 연습은 초급 문법의 특성에 맞게 형태적인 정확성을 추구한 연습에서부터 시작하여 연결 연습, 완성 연습 등을 거쳐 의사소통 활동으로 이어질 수 있도록 구성하였다.

* 활동은 해당 문법이 핵심적으로 쓰이는 말하기 활동을 중심으로 구성하였으나 일부 문법의 경우 쓰기 상황으로 제시하였다.

* 정리는 도입 상황에서 배운 의사소통 활동을 재확인하거나 바꿔서 말할 수 있도록 도입과 연계된 말하기 상황으로 구성하였다. 도입을 반복, 확장하도록 구성하였기 때문에 학습자 혼자서도 말하기 연습이 가능하다.

* 의사소통 상황에서의 문법 사용을 위하여 듣고 말하기, 읽고 쓰기와 연계된 문법의 경우 단원 마지막에 기능 교과를 표시하였다.

* 부록 ‘문법 설명’에서는 목표 문법의 의미와 사용 예시를 기술하였다. 국립국어원 《한국어 기초사전》을 참고하여 목표 문법의 의미와 사용 상황, 형태를 중심으로 기술하였으며 확장된 사용 의미와 예시는 편집을 달리하여 기술하였다.

* 목표 문법을 제시할 때 명사, 동사, 동작동사, 상태동사로 문법의 범주를 표시하여 학습자가 문법의 결합 조건을 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 기술하였다.

* 문법의 도입과 연습, 활동에서 사용된 어휘는 학습자에게 별도로 제공된다.

"Kyung Hee Korean Grammar for Beginners 1" is the first of six levels of Korean textbooks for adult learners who want to learn Korean, and the content is organised into grammar essentials for the beginner level, with various exercises and activities that are both educational and practical to improve learners' communication skills.

In addition, the book is organised in such a way that communication activities in the introduction and summarisation stages are linked so that the usage situation of the introduction can be confirmed in the summarisation stage. * 50 grammars have been selected to meet the communication needs of beginners.

* Introductions are presented in dialogues and illustrations that relate to the use of each grammar, and you can listen to the dialogues through MP3 files.

* The presentation is not organised as a separate item so that it can be carried out through the teacher's speech, but the meaning and usage examples of the target grammar are presented in the appendix for learners to study on their own.

* The exercises are organised according to the characteristics of beginner grammar, starting with exercises that seek morphological accuracy, followed by linking exercises, completion exercises, and so on, leading to communicative activities.

* For grammar that is linked to listening, speaking, reading and writing, functional skills are listed at the end of the unit to ensure that grammar is used in communicative situations.

* The appendix 'Grammar Explanation' explains the meaning and usage of the target grammar. The meanings, usage situations, and forms of the target grammar are mainly described by referring to the Korean Basic Dictionary of the National Language Institute, and the expanded meanings and examples are described by editing differently.

* When presenting the target grammar, the categories of grammar are indicated by nouns, verbs, action verbs, and state verbs so that learners can easily understand the combination conditions of grammar.

* The vocabulary used in the introduction, exercises, and activities is provided separately for learners.
