이 책을 통해 한류는 물론 한국 사회와 문화에 관심을 가지고 있는 모든 사람이 한국에 대해 보다 쉽고 간편하게 공부할 수 있으면 좋겠다. 외국인 학생들이 한국어를 배우는 가장 중요한 이유는 그들이 좋아하는 한국 문화를 ‘한국어 그대로’ 즐기기 위해서이다. 드라마나 영화를 자막 없이 감상하고 한국어로 된 노래를 들으며 바로 이해하고, 또 부르고 싶어서이다. 그들이 사랑하는 스타가 하는 말을 한국어 그대로 이해하고 소통하기 위해서이다. 요컨대 한류에 대한 관심이 한국어 공부로 이어지는 이유이다. 한류를 즐기기 위해 한국어를 공부해 온 외국인들이, 이 책을 통해 한류와 한국의 사회, 문화에 대해 보다 쉽게 이해할 수 있기를 기대한다.

이를 위해 중고급 수준의 학습자들이 이해할 수 있는 표현을 중심으로 가능하면 쉽게 글을 구성하였다. 또 한국에 대해 전체적으로 이해할 수 있도록 한국의 언어, 예술, 스포츠, 과학, 교육, 역사 등 다양한 주제를 다루었다. 글을 읽으며 현재 한국에서 자주 사용되는 실제적인 단어와 표현을 익힐 수 있도록 노력하였다. 특히 최근의 한국 사회에 대해 이해할 수 있도록 가장 최신의 자료들을 참고하였다. 쉬운 표현으로 대체하기 어려운 단어와 표현의 경우 부록에 번역(일본어, 중국어, 영어)을 제시하여 사전 없이도 읽을 수 있게 하였다. 읽기 본문의 앞과 뒤에서는 글의 주제와 관련하여 생각해 볼 주제나 자료를 제시하거나 독자의 경험을 생각해 보도록 하여 내용 이해에 도움을 주고자 하였다. 또 퀴즈를 통해 스스로 읽은 내용에 대한 이해 정도를 확인해 볼 수 있도록 하였다. 특히 어휘 퀴즈의 경우 어휘 간의 의미 관계, 의미가 확장되는 방식 등 한국어 어휘의 특성에 대한 이해를 토대로 하나의 어휘를 통해 열 개의 어휘를 깨우치는 능력을 키울 수 있게 하고자 노력하였다.

Through this book, I hope that everyone who is interested in Korean society and culture as well as the Korean Wave can study about Korea more easily and conveniently. The most important reason why foreign students learn Korean is to enjoy their favorite Korean culture 'as it is in Korean'. It is because I want to understand and sing as soon as I listen to dramas or movies without subtitles and songs in Korean. It is to understand and communicate what their beloved stars say in Korean. In short, this is why interest in the Korean Wave leads to studying Korean. It is hoped that foreigners who have studied Korean to enjoy the Korean Wave will be able to understand the Korean Wave and Korean society and culture more easily through this book.

To this end, the writing was composed as easily as possible, focusing on expressions that middle and high-level learners can understand. In addition, various topics such as Korean language, art, sports, science, education, and history were dealt with so that you could understand Korea as a whole. While reading the text, I tried to learn practical words and expressions that are currently frequently used in Korea. In particular, the most up-to-date materials were referenced to understand recent Korean society. For words and expressions that are difficult to replace with easy expressions, translations (Japanese, Chinese, and English) were presented in the appendix so that they could be read without a dictionary. In the front and back of the reading body, I tried to help understand the content by presenting a topic or material to think about or thinking about the reader's experience. In addition, the quiz allowed you to check the degree of understanding of what you read. In particular, in the case of vocabulary quizzes, I tried to develop the ability to understand ten vocabulary through one vocabulary based on understanding the characteristics of Korean vocabulary, such as the semantic relationship between vocabulary and the way the meaning is expanded.

À travers ce livre, j'espère que tous ceux qui s'intéressent à la société et à la culture coréennes ainsi qu'à la Vague coréenne pourront étudier la Corée plus facilement et plus facilement.
